Hi, my name is Stefanie Fijma, and I have recently completed my PhD in Astronomy at the Anton Pannekoek Institute at the University of Amsterdam. My research focuses on studying accreting neutron stars and black holes through observational studies, spanning X-ray to radio wavelengths. I am particularly interested in studying their accretion and outflow behaviour, formation paths and further evolution.
Following my PhD defence on September 26th, 2025, I will start as an ESO Fellow in Garching, Germany.
